winter to spring

oh danggggg it's already the last day of march! it's gonna be april in 20 minutes! wow...time really flies haha. and that means only a little more than a month left of school! yayyyyy i'm gonna hang out with my friends everyday! yeahhhhhh~! probably won't be able to but anyways, i want to :D

i'll finally be able to see my servant haha. what kind of a servant doesn't show her face to her master for like over a month? >:( she always picks the worst date to hang out -_- maybe she does that on purpose lol

anyways~ on to what i did today haha. so i ditched school again haha. last night i was reading for history and found out more than half way through that i was reading the wrong thing. so i got really annoyed at history (although it wasn't its fault, the textbook was really really boring) and decided that i wasn't gonna go to history. and in the morning, i was gonna go to school for phys and theo but blanked out and "unconsciously" decided to ditch all together haha

so i got out of my bed at like 11:30 am or something to get ready to meet jin before going off to practice.

OMG! on my way, for more than half of the ride, i was squashed into a little corner and i could feel myself getting claustrophobic. i almost had trouble breathing =_=;; seriously, no exaggeration.

and then i got to harrison like 30 or 40 minutes earlier, so i went to columbia's crappy library to read my book while waiting for jin to finish her class. but really, their library is crappy. their tables are so wobbly... i've never seen such a crappy table in a library....

enough about columbia's library, and on to our late lunch lol

jin went to this pizza place with richard before, and she liked it. so she wanted me to try it, i think haha (sorry about the crumbs haha XD)

the one on the left is 1 liter bottle and the smaller one's 24 fl oz haha i didn't think that the pepsi would be that huge until i got it haha i still haven't finished even half of it

i was craving ice cream and cake, so we were thinking about getting ice cream at micky d. but it was cold, so i decided not to. but then! i go to roosevelt, which is only one stop away, and it's not that cold. wth? well anyways so i got cold americano haha

jin's supposedly (didn't try it) crappy shaken iced passion tea which looked like the bubble tea loria got at late night (?) yesterday haha

jin telling me about her nightmare where she opened her closest and found a secret passage to a sewage or something and how her family (her husband and baby) was gonna get flooded and attacked by this black liquidy stuff.

yeah, i dunno. her dreams are always so detailed. seriously, how do you remember all that? i have hard time remembering if i dreamed or not or what i dreamed

after i finished my drink, we went to practice. well we did gongyo and chanted before. but anyways. yeah, we practiced. and i forgot to take pictures while jin was practicing, so just hastily took some before packing up haha

donuts that nick gave me because he didn't want them and jin didn't either...but she took some bites out of the chocolate donut -_- (cassie's gonna have that tomorrow haha and she wanted it! i'm not forcing her to eat it lol)

so today's kind of like a friday to me because i'm not going to school tomorrow haha and it's only because my math class is cancelled and my theo class is the most useless class to go to, so yeah hehe :)

anyways, since it was "friday" i wanted to do something and remembered that red mango on our lake shore campus opened! kyaaaaaaa!!!! XD

i wanted to take a picture of her eating korean pizza but lost my chance. she instead posed and was pretending to be sad haha

after i finished my froyo, we headed back home. and jin was stinking up the station and the train with the krn pizza. ewwww X( haha kidding~

we had to wait for the trains for so long cuz it was late -_- and when we got to the yellow line, richard was there waiting for us to give us a ride haha thank you~ hehe

when i got home, i ate the donuts with cassie :D

hehe she so cute~ she was being extra cute today haha oh, and my mom cut her bangs and...failed;; she cut it too short, so it looks awkward now. so i tried to put them all on one side, but it wasn't working so well :P

anyways, while jin and i were in the food lounge drinking our stuff, there was this japanese lady, and she was like talking with us. and before she left, she wanted us to write down our names, so she can remember us. but i think she forgot about keeping our names;; cuz she gave it to us haha

so jin wrote her name in japanese since she's taking it right now (jealous >:( but that's ok. gonna take it next semester :D) and then she was like all excited and wrote my name in japanese and came up with chinese characters for our names haha

i already have them, but she was contemplating so hard so i didn't tell her because i didn't want to disappoint her or something haha

this is what she wrote out for me :D she said it means to never look down on others and looking at them on the same level, i think? haha my real characters are 輝善 these mean to shine and be nice. i don't know how else to put it haha

well wasn't today a nice day? hehe oh! and i was looking through my email and saw one from yg shop, and i clicked on it and guess what i found?

gd & top edition of beats! the bunny's on that thing! how cool is that? but it's like 600 dollars because it's custom made;; i love you guys, but i don't have that much money haha

but i do want beats D: but i'll get it after everyone else stops buying them hehe and also when i have money haha

last thing i'm gonna talk about today is our samoolnoli performance that was on the 26th. still didn't get any pictures but got a video~ yikes!

haha i watched it twice. first time through, just listened and second time through, wrote down what we had to work on. need to practice a lot~ haha and i don't like the way my ggwaengari is sounding >:( what's wrong with it? what am i doing wrong~ or is it just me? is it? doesn't it sound weird? i dunno...

anyways, even though we need to make some improvements, i don't think it was that bad for a first performance of the new piece. so good job everyone! and thank you, thank you so much! XD

yeah, i have no idea why im blogging when i could be sleeping. well it's partially because if i don't do it tonight, i won't be able to until much later. and because i have stuff to post haha.

but today's post isn't really exciting. i guess none of them were....

well one exciting part's jin receiving her own Gohonzon!!! XD yayyyyy. she's gonna actually chant at home now~ hopefully haha. im pretty sure she will ;)

so we were told that the bus was going to leave from the culture center at 7 am. and we go there and wait for more than an hour to leave..=_=;;

during that time, jin slept and slept and slept

at first, we had the bus all to ourselves hehe >:D until they told us that there was another bus leaving soon and there was plenty of space for us D:

after about 30 minutes (i was asleep for more than half the time), we got to Francis W. Parker School. it's a private k-12 school in Chicago

and this is where the symposium took place & we also performed here:

i thought it was as big as the one in NW, but i saw downstairs later and decided that it was a lot smaller haha. but it looked nicer though

remember how i wrote on the last post that we had to wake up at 5am? yeah, not a lot of sleep and lengthy speeches don't exactly go together. so hyun oppa and i went out to search for starbucks (while loria, jin, kenji, and morgan were asleep, and jinny, rachel, and sabrina went off on their own), but we went the wrong way :( and ended up getting can coffees

hyun oppa got the coffee for me, and i shared it with my sister. yeah, it didn't help AT ALL

i dunno why, but my sister noticed that hyun oppa, her, and i all had our legs the same way, so it just seemed funny at that moment haha

so after bumming around, we went to eat ahead of other people because our perf was right after lunch. i didn't take a picture of my lunch cuz we had to eat fast and go. but we had turkey sandwich from potbelly

i don't have a picture of the actual performance yet, but there were people there who took pictures, and i think they're going to give them to us. so will post when i get them :)

after the perf, half of the members left, and we (nick, sabrina, morgan, loria, jin, and i) had to carry extra drums -_-

and also jin slept MORE

the symposium ended at 4 pm, and from 1 pm till then, we got starbucks, and i finished learning the entire piece and bummed around haha

ride back to the culture center was louder than the ride in the morning, so i just plugged my earphones in and fell asleep. and we were gonna go eat ice cream after putting away the instruments, but it was too cold so just ended up eating and getting hot drinks

my #8 on the menu HAHA i don't remember what it was called. big n' tasty bacon & something? lol i dunno

and guess what's in all of them? blueberry hot chocolate! hahaha. jin, loria, and i all got the same thing. but mine was too sweet so couldn't finish it D:

after we finished eating, loria got some make-up removers from jewel. and we went back to the culture center and bummed around till the general director Danny Nagashima's gosho lecture.

well i did find yuko to sign jin's paper for receiving the Gohonzon and gave it to the people. but anyways, there's nothing much in between so let's jump to the important part ahaha

so jin was the only new member receiving a Gohonzon today haha (there was another person, but she wasn't a new member) and few of the leaders recognized that jin played the drums at the symposium and got really excited and even made an announcement saying how it's awesome to join with a performance haha

after she got her Gohonzon, Nathan Gauer, our national youth leader, gave a brief talk, and it was time for Danny Nagashima's lecture~ and i didn't think i would be able to catch everything if i took notes, so i just recorded his entire lecture haha. i think it came out to be a bit more than an hour.

i was so tired since we got back from Parker School, and i'm more tired now. i don't even know why i'm doing this...

but we wanted to celebrate jin receiving her Gohonzon, so my mom was thinking about getting a champaign, but jin just wanted to go home haha. so we just drank mint tea together :)

while we were drinking tea, cassie was drumming haha

i just noticed that i cut off minnie and...i forgot the other ones name haha donald duck's gf LOL

anyways, took a picture with her polaroid since today is a special day hehe :D but cassie kinda ruined the picture....she was watching and singing to happy feet...
