greetings! i was going to update last saturday about shiroi hana and whatnot, butttt that obviously did not happen;;; oops~ i don't think it really matters anyways haha.
11.4.11: met up with japn class at loyola and went to belmont. we first went to the Toguri Mercantile because they close at five o'clock, and shiroi hana opens at five o'clock haha

this is probably only 1/4 or 1/5 of the store haha. if you go towards that back there are books and traditional japn stuff. to the left, there's a lot of bowls and whatnot. oh, i think they also sell kimono here.
after browsing the store for the longest time ever, annoying the owners lol, we went to:
look! we got hot towels! i don't think i've ever gotten a hot towel here lol i remember getting it in korea haha. but yeah, it felt really nice and warm :3
i got my something warm LOL. niku udon, meaning meat udon! haha we recently learned the word niku :D
oh, that reminds me, at the store, eva and i had the most epic realization ever! we were like reading japanese words on the cover of the packaged food, and we came across this one:
we were like "ichiban!" "ichiban? ICHIBAN! THE BEST! OH MY GOD!!" LMAO i dunno if that's what we actually said or not, but it was something like it LOL so yeah, lol it was epic for us HAHA
spiderman. eva and i shared this one. it was HUMONGOUS!!! i probably looked like a fatty or something stuffing this thing in my mouth;;; but other than that, it was pretty good, i think haha
got green tea ice cream for dessert. should've just went to argo;;; i couldn't really taste the green tea....i think i'm just gonna stick with maeda-en's green tea ice cream XD
soooo yesterday was my birthday lol. didn't really do anything special tho :P one of the members of my drum team made me realize that im not a teenager anymore! haha. i don't know why, but i guess i didn't really think of myself as a teenager cuz im out of high school, but i still was....but now i'm not :D that really doesn't mean anything tho haha. so i just have one more year till i can just buy my own drinks instead of asking my mom or sister HAHA and i'll finally be able to try drinks in restaurants!! yayyyy~~ i'm way ahead of myself, huh? my 20th birthday was just yesterday, and i'm talking about next year lol but whatever, it'll come soon haha
anyways, nick always prepares birthday cake and card for people when their birthday is coming up, so he did that for me on the 6th
my piece of the cake. i remembered to take a pic after eating half of it HAHA. it was really good tho. probably the best out of all the ones he bought so far.

i wasn't in a good mood on this day and didn't expect this at all, so i was really touched and almost teared up when they did this for me haha but i'm pretty sure no one noticed :P
earlier this week, i got this in my mailbox:
it's from starbucks hehe so i get to have a free drink from there yay~ although i don't really go to starbucks anymore, i still like free stuff XD so i shall be going there before the 17th (cuz that's when it expires haha)
on my actual birthday, yesterday, my family and i had this cake:
it was decent haha considering the fact that it was from jewels. BUT the whipped cream was waaaaaay too thick, and i couldn't handle it after eating a little more than half of that slice.
i only got money from my grandpa on my birthday, but i got early bday gifts in august and october XD
wesc from jessica. i've never had a headphone before, so i can't really compare to anything...buttt i think it's pretty good. i likey :)

well enough with the birthday stuff and to some random things haha
last sunday, the 6th, nick brought snacks again haha XD:
the marshmallow one has chocolate inside. it's quite good. and out of all the meiji chocolates, i like the hi milk one. i have no idea what the difference is from the regular milk chocolate, but i like it! haha

oh, so i'm kinda learning japn words from reading these things haha. like, i learned that mushroom is きのこ and bamboo shoot is たけのこ hehe
anyways, i had to take some pictures for my lab report, andddd i decided to just post them up since.....i just had them...lol
doesn't it look fun?? :D sike lol. but these weren't that bad haha i think i would've liked it if the results were nicer buttttt aw well *shrug*
today after school, i went to register for japanese then waited for Eva to finish up her classes to go eat at buff joe's.
i didn't really feel like eating wings today, so i got this instead:
krispy buffalo chicken. isn't the chicken HUGE? i was like, wth...? lol but it was pretty good :)
after eating, we went to argo tea hehe we went yesterday, too, but we can never say no to argo tea XD yesterday, Eva got me the drink, and today, i only had to pay $1.10 because i bought nine drinks hehe

i learned earlier in the week that i need to buy boots that are waterproof. uggs are warm and all that, butttt it's definitely not waterproof AT ALL;;; and i was searching for rain boots, but then i went to see Tretorn cuz Eva liked their boots and found these:
