greetings! today, i'm gonna write a review about king spa & sauna HAHA
so i've been working at this place since last June, and i went there several times even before i started working. one of the benefits of being an employee here is that you can use it for free! yeepee~
although we're not allowed to use the lockers, it's fine. we can all deal with that ;D also, we can't use it during weekends, but it's ok. there's too much people for my liking haha

on to the actual review~ haha

i guess it's more like a tour ha but anyways, here it goes!

so once you come to our place, you have to check in at the front desk with our lovely receptionists (including myself ehehehe). the admission fee is $25 for up to 24 hours, and we do have specials every month, so you can get them by subscribing to our email list. after check-in, ladies go to the right side and the guys to the left side, and the first small locker is for your shoes and you get a second locker for your clothes and belongings. and you can access them with the key the receptionist gives you at check-in.

once you're past the shoe lockers, you come to

the locker room! i think this is the women's locker room. i'm guessing that the men's looks exactly the same but opposite? haha i have no idea actually.

anyways, the spa area is also here and looks like this:

there's four "whirlpools" and one steam sauna. for the ladies, the steam sauna is to the left. this is also the shower area, so there are bunch of sit-down or stand showers. also, we offer body scrub and massages which are also done here in the area behind those short walls on the right.

i put the whirlpools in quotation marks because they're not REALLY whirlpools haha there's only little bit of whirling.

the one in the upper left corner is a cold tub. it's really nice to jump in there after dry sauna :) the three in the middle are all hot tubs but different temperature.

after taking shower (which is a must!), you'll get uniforms for the common area. and for the ladies, as soon as you come out to the common area, there's a small theater to the right.

it really is tiny, isn't it? haha when it first opened, there wasn't any doors, but now they attached it. (we actually added a lot of new things, and these pics were taken from the early days so some things are not in here :P)

we only show movies that we have as dvds and show 3 to 4 times. or if there's nothing running and a customer requests.

now on to the main hall~

the tables and the couches are not set up like this anymore, but you get the picture haha oh! i just noticed! they didn't attach the tvs yet! wow. these pictures are really old haha well there are two tvs there, and people rest and just hang around here by themselves or with people they come with.

and if you go further down, the food court is there. i didn't really like their pictures so pass~ haha
we mostly serve krn food, but there are some other asian foods as well. and it's pretty good :)

ok, so there are nine different kinds of dry sauna rooms, and the first one you'll see (for ladies, of course) is the Bul Ga Ma

this is the biggest room in our place, and the pile of elvan stones are heated up to 800ºF and comes out two times during weekdays and three times during weekends. and whenever it comes out, we (people at the front desk) have to make an announcement, and i memorized the announcement HAHA

next to it is the Base Rock room

we actually charge $5 extra for this room, but you just have to pay once per day so not too bad. and i love this room! it's my favorite! XD

the rock beds are made out of japanese rock called siraka and were imported directly from japan, so that's why we charge $5. it helps with stress release and blood circulation. but i mostly go there because it's quiet and helps me to really sweat hehe

the next one is the charcoal room.

the entire wall is covered with charcoal and it's a nice place. not too hot anddddd i don't really have a lot to say about this room HAHA it's just a nice little room XD

and kind of next to it is the amethyst room.

this room's not too hot either. but this one's really pretty inside! the entire wall, as you can see, is covered with amethyst. and you see that round star thing? there's a moon and a sun on the other two walls. nothing on the fourth one haha

right next to it, there's the ice room! haha

some of our uniforms look neon in here haha and it's really cold! it's nice when you go in there after one of the hot rooms, but if you stay there for too long, it's gonna get REALLY cold haha

ANDDD our hottest room~!!

tada~ it's called the fire sudatorium, but i think a lot of the foreign customers call it the pizza room or something because the entrance is kinda small and there's another door behind that door. yeah, i dunno how to explain haha

this room used to be my favorite, but i changed my mind after trying the base rock haha. but it's still one of my favorites XD although i can't stay in there for more than 5 minutes. it's really hot in there! especially in the morning when it's all fresh haha

next one is the ocher room.

i think this room is the least hot, but it's still nice and warm :) and this room has like herbs in there, so it smells kinda nice.

and across from the ocher room is the pyramid room.

it's covered inside and outside by real gold, and the room itself is not that hot but the floor! oh my goodness...the floor is so freaking hot! i almost burned by feet;; that's one of the reasons why i don't like going in there haha but if there're mats or you have socks on, it's fine

the last but not least is the salt room~

as the name suggests, it's made out of salt, and this is also one of my favorite rooms. this also has bags of herbs inside and it's dark and nice, so you can really relax in there. unless there's a lot of people;;

we also have a second floor, but they didn't have a picture it :( there're sleeping lounges for men and women separately and a "meditation hall" which is more like a tv hall. but if the volumes down, you could meditate. but thennnn you'd fall asleep because of the couches haha

also, we offer acupressure (not acupuncture!) which is a deep tissue massage, a swedish gold aroma massage, and foot massage. so far i've only tried the foot massage, and it was great! and my manager one day MADE me do the body scrub because someone was getting trained, and i don't wanna do it ever again. not because they're not good, but because i'm a shy person haha;; they are good but yeah...i can't do it HAHA

anyways~i don't exactly know why i'm doing this haha i guess i was bored? meh, dunno. oh, and i forgot to mention, but you probably all figured it out, i stole all of the pictures from King Spa & Sauna :D
if you wanna know more about the place, just go check out the website, or you could call us, i guess haha

that's pretty much it, and i'm going to end the post with a picture of my baby sister!

so i was babysitting her in the living room, and out of nowhere, she puts in this 10 minute exercise dvd or something, and she's like, "i have to exercise" and starts copying the lady!!!!

it was so cute and funny at the same time! haha she makes me laugh XD

well thanks for reading~! :) ♥
